 Knight Light v2.5

So, this is my 15Pal/3Mnk/2Rgr flavor build. I already have a twf KotC Pally. What I wanted was something that felt like paladin, but played differently. I know this isn't an optimal build, but I think it should be a blast to play, and still put out decent dps, with good situational burst potential vs. plants. flower

Why this split?
The 2 ranger is for the favored enemy and twf feat. 3 Monk is the heart of this build. Path of Light, WSS, evasion, 2 feats, stance, etc. gives a different take on KotC, without taking away the paladin feel. Paladin 15 gets Smite 4/rest, DM III, the second 4th level spell, and everything that comes before it Very Happy

I just wanted to give an update. Aurestis is currently level 9 (should be 10 shortly) and has exceeded my expectations. The dps so far has been better than I would have given it credit for, and the play is quite fun. I will update further once he gets a bit higher.

As it turns out, I had an outdated version of the planner. I was forced to remake the build to fix enhancements. I also decided to snag just a little bit of healing amp. So, without further ado, I present The Knight Light v2.65:

I love posting interesting builds. Interesting of course could be very good, very bad, or just unique Smile I love building all kinds of characters, and I've had a blast so far with this one. I love that wraps are only a swap away, for when crit profile is irrelevant. (Wraps would generally be better, but the improved crit range of longswords is synergistic with paladin). But I can easily swap to wraps for oozes/undead, etc.

I also really like having options. On a pure paladin, your dps is reliant on facing evil creatures, especially evil outsiders. When you're fighting, for example, an elemental, your dps is subpar. As a monk, I can spam cold strikes vs. a fire ele or fist of light vs. undead. The dps certainly isn't as good situationally, but I'd say it is more versatile. And sneak is always good Very Happy

Another (and probably better) way to split would be 12 Pal / 7 monk / 1 ranger (or 12 / 6 / 2). The reason I did this was simply for flavor (wanted a bit more paladin; I wasn't trying to maximize the combination) and because holy sword is beast. A poor boy like me isn't going to take more than 2 paladin levels and not get free boss beaters.

P.S. Someone on the DDO forums suggested that I should have called it The Weed Whacker
