First, this isn't my build. This build was posted by Dark Star. I have tried it out, and found it to be loads of fun (for a melee/ranged charcter). Just thought I would would share it.

Overall: This is basically a middle ground between a pure khopesh twf, and a piker (oops, I mean ranged).

Pros: Good melee TWF dps, decent ranged dps with excellent burst, decent unarmed dps, versatile, requires no tomes*, decent survivability.

*While the build lists a +2 supreme tome at level 7, it isn't necessary. In fact, I haven't eaten one yet. Just be aware that you will lose that skill point for balance unless you tome.

Cons: Ranged is weak until higher levels (multishot BAB, feats, enhancements), requires monk and Helf, skill starved, uses khopesh (for those squirmish about them), low UMD*

*UMD can still be decently bumped. I currently have a command item (+2), charisma +2, though can get higher, ofc (+1), and Golden Cartouche (+3) ready to swap in, for a +6 bonus to UMD. You also have your skill boosts if you need them (+5). Long story short, you can get decent UMD with a little effort if you need it, but you'll never brag about it.

Gear: Of course, gear is always about what you have, personal preference, etc. With crafting, however, things have opened up quite a bit. The only thing set in stone is that you'll obviously want your usual strength, con, and hp buffs. You'll probably want dex for ranged to-hit. You can see what mine is wearing (at level 10) here. I haven't equipped fortification or seeker yet, which I need to do. One final note is that since wisdom is dumped, you will need to find +3 somewhere in order to cast your spells. I crafted a +3 wis helm (ML 5).


Leveling vs. 20: This is one of those builds where you really aren't going to apply your level 20 build from the ground up. Feats don't need to be swapped (though you may choose to if you can afford it), but your enhancements will. The earliest you can pick up AA with the end build is level 8/9, for example. I found quite a few problems with the enhancements.

In order to combat this, I planned out 3 sets of enhancements. The first was 4-8 (or 1-Cool, and I simply grabbed the best stuff I could, including ranger AA at 6. The second was 9+ (once elven AA becomes available; until higher levels once I decide to swap. Probably 17-19). Finally, the end build. What I'm posting here is the final build. Feel free to swap things around as you need to.

In the following build, I have omitted a few things to save space, e.g. starting skills. Everything you need is there, though. Skill bumps for fighter levels are the same from 9-19, so I've omitted those as well.
